The Bush Lake Experience
It starts at Hyland for some pre spot warm up laps. All the boys started trickling into the parking lot and slowly making there way to the hill. We ripped laps for awhile, talked about a plan for the day, and ripped more laps. Nothing really got figured so, we went the end all cure all Bush Lake. We called some more homies to come kick it. We bought hot dogs, someone had pork product, chips, and barley pops. An all out picnic in the park. So, we fix a couple lips, move some snow to places, re-establish a few tables, and a barrel. Game on. It was a constant all day sesh at the park. People just getting weird doing funny things because , why not. Every once and awhile someone would pull up and the pack would grow by one or two. Now with the way the earth works, it eventually got dark and we had to call it quits. Being a believer in the leave no trace policy. We cleaned up and took off. Kind of. The part of the park that we were in doesn't plow that road so glare ice everywhere. The first truck gets stuck. Everyone is pushing, crushed cans under tires, and zero footing. But, with perseverance and some head scratching we were home free. Until the slightly inclined ice skating rink took its next victim. At this point we were all really tired and weren't about to go through this again. Then it hit me. I drove to Hyland and borrowed a bucket of salt and sand. We all made it out of there alive and with our vehicles. We returned the salt and sand back said thank you and caught the last hour of Hyland. Work smarter not harder kids.
